Hello Speaker Pelosi

As a Democrat for 35 years now I find myself disappointed in your leadership. You just made Pete Stark apologize for remarks that appear to reflect what the REPUBLIKLAN party has done, namely sent men and women to Iraq based on lies to kill 1 million Iraqis and inveigle the US in Iraq's oil resources.

You have not lifted a finger to remove the monthly premium from Medicare Part D. You have not lifted a finger to remove the $270 a year deductible for Medicare Part D. You have not lifted a finger to remove the coverage gap for Medicare Part D. You have not lifted a finger to remove the means test for medicare Part D and remove the means test for Medicare Part B. You have not lifted a finger to make the coverage for all medications in Medicare Part D, 80 percent, so a retired person or a disabled person need only pay 20 percent at the pharmacy. You have not lifted a finger to make Medicare Part D run by the Social Security Administration in the US government instead of excessively selfish company CEOs.

Why should retired and disabled people have to pay an extra premium and deductible for medication when the benefit should have gotten placed in Medicare Part B covering 80 percent of medication, just like a doctor's visit with both counting towards a $130 annual deductible and both covered by the 96 dollars a month premium. Why should there exist a means test in Medicare part B turning it into a welfare program?

When will you show some courage and change Medicare Part D?

When will you lift a finger to raise the minimum wage to $10 an hour. I made $10 an hour 30 years ago. People cannot live decently on $7.25 an hour 2 years from now. People cannot live decently at $6.15 an hour now.

When will you get an end to this war in Iraq that Bush has killed 1 million innocent Iraqis, so he can enrich his oil company friends with an oil law that will give American oil companies 80 percent of the oil gross proceeds and leaving the Iraqis with just 20 percent.

As a Democrat for 35 years now, I find you acting like a coward. A quisling consorting with the leaders of the Republiklan party and their klanservative white men party.


If Hillary gets the nomination I will probably abstain from voting for president and vote the downline ballot from Senator on down here in NY. I don't need a conservative  running for our nomination. I consider Hillary a very conservative Democrat, in fact the most conservative of the field of candidates.

You have done as much as you can to turn off the liberal wing of your party and you will lose it if you steer too much to the right as you have.

I believe in capitalism, but not the laissez faire capitalism that the Republiklan party believes in and has practiced for the last 13 years.

As a Democrat of 35 years now, I say, show some courage, speaker Pelosi, because liberals such as I have had enough of your capitulation to right wing nuts in the congress.

Oh and yes I put a different zip code in the contact box because I imagined that you would not read a letter from someone outside your district in San Francisco.
