Has anyone famous ever called you on the phone as a result of you writing to them?

I will begin this. As a Yankee fan, I watched and listened to the great announcer Mel Allen during the 1950's through the 1980's on radio and television as he broadcasted Yankee games.

Sometime between 1990 and 1994 I wrote 2 letters to Mel Allen on two different occaisions.

He called me twice on 2 different occaisions on the phone. The first time I got a phone call, I got surprised. On both occaisions we talked about his career, the Yankees, and baseball and his colleagues in the business.

Tell me if someone famous has called you.
